A lawsuit settlement will not bring Zeke Upshaw back, but it puts the spotlight on the importance of having a cardiac emergency response plan in place to ensure a timely and coordinated response. Upshaw, 26 and a guard/forward for NBA G League affiliated with the Detroit Pistons, collapsed in sudden cardiac arrest during a game on his home court and died two days later.
