This is an excellent round-up of the many SCA prevention champions who are working to advance a better standard of care through more comprehensive cardiac risk assessment in youth, including ECG screening.  Right now, Parent Heart Watch member organizations, are contributing youth screening data to a national pilot study aimed at improving pediatric cardiac screening.

Screening kids for heart problems with an ECG is hardly a radical idea, Michael Ackerman noted. We shouldn’t be debating the merits of universal screening for SCA. We just need better tools to achieve it. Read more…
