Christian Brothers High School freshman basketball player Jaden DeJesus-Eves, 15, a 6-foot-8 forward, died in his sleep late Tuesday night, hours after playing in a CIF Sac-Joaquin Section semifinal game.

He had passed the mandatory physical required to compete in athletics.
