REISTERSTOWN, Md. — A Franklin High School student who collapsed in August following a medical emergency at football practice died due to a heart issue, 11 News Investigates has learned.
A representative for the Maryland Office of the Chief Medical Examiner told 11 News Investigates that the manner of Leslie Noble’s death was ruled natural and the cause is cardiomegaly with biventricular hypertrophy, or an enlarged heart.
The 16-year-old junior had played on Franklin’s varsity football team since he was a freshman.
The Baltimore County Fire Department reported on Aug. 14 that crews were called around 9:15 a.m. for a child experiencing a medical emergency on the school’s football field.
