Summary:
To protect children from cardiac emergencies while participating in school athletic activities. That the general statutes be amended to require certain student athletes to receive an electrocardiogram as a prerequisite to participating in any intramural or interscholastic athletic activity, provided such student athletes shall be exempt from such requirement if an automated external defibrillator is available at the location where such athletic activity it taking place and the school has in place a cardiac emergency response plan
