Florida sports medicine physicians, cardiologists, pediatricians, family physicians, and other clinicians
Several school districts (Brevard, Highlands, Leon, Osceola, Orange, Seminole & Suwanee) have adopted policy requiring student-athletes to have an electrocardiogram (ECG) for participating in sports. Multiple other school districts are encouraging the same.
Overview
This workshop will review the "International Criteria" and provide a systematic approach for accurate ECG interpretation in athletes.
Workshop Objectives
Upon completion of this workshop, participant should be able to:
- Distinguish physiologic ECG findings from ECG abnormalities requiring more investigation.
- Accurately apply the International Criteria in 6-steps!
- Outline the recommended secondary evaluation of specific ECG abnormalities.
