Lily Fuller

Lily, a 13-year-old soccer play, developed a post-cold sinus infection that was being treated with antibiotics. On the morning of a tournament, she complained of feeling faint. She sat down as she completely lost vision and the color in her face and began sweating profusely as her mom called 911. Several EKGs suggested Long QT, and while the numbers were marginal, genetic testing later confirmed it. Lily is now asymptomatic as her condition is being managed with a betablocker and supplements to significantly reduce her risk of SCA. Her family learned CPR and purchased an AED.
