Dauphin County District Attorney Fran Chardo said this is a big piece of new information in terms of the investigation into Johnson’s death.
“We’re not making a final determination but that is a big factor,” Chardo said. “It’s not dispositive, but it is a factor that this was a natural death. That being said, you know the cause of death in a crash, a vehicle crash, is accidental, but criminal charges are still brought.”
A police investigation is underway surrounding his death after security footage showed Johnson being chased by a group of teens outside of his home.
According to police, Johnson was playing tag with his friends and security footage shows him going back into his home unharmed.
Chardo said he believes they will be able to conclude the investigation this week. He said the teens seen in the security footage have been cooperative.
Chardo said they also have the cell phone records from all the teens to really get a feel for what was going on that night.
