Kayla Burt


Kayla was playing basketball when she suffered a cardiac arrest on December 31, 2002, at age 20. Some of her teammates performed CPR until paramedics arrived and defibrillated her. The cause has not fully been determined, but she has gone on to be a very active young woman. She speaks on occasion about living with a heart condition.
