Learn about the devastation that Sudden Cardiac Arrest is having on our youth - stories of seemingly healthy young lives lost suddenly and unexpectedly to SCA, and of those who suffered the fatal or severely debilitating consequences of SCA because the appropriate life-saving actions were not taken.

Learn about the success stories of young lives saved from SCA - stories of young lives saved due to successful screening and early detection of heart conditions, and stories of those who suffered SCA and recovered successfully because the appropriate actions were taken to save their lives.

 

 
Spotlight On Members


PHW Member  and SCA survivor Brian Brunson of Texas and his wife Paula hosted the inaugural "Crawmageddon", a crawfish boil to benefit PHW and raise awareness. 

PHW Co-Founder Laura Friend hosted the 5th annual "Run for Sarah" on Saturday, May 22 in Dallas, TX.  Over 1,300 people participated in support of the Sarah Friend Heart Foundation. 

In honor of National CPR/AED Awareness Week, PHW Members Skip Over and Rhonda Foster of Pennsylvania demonstrated that an AED will not shock the heart if it's not needed in front of 4,000 Harrisburg Senators baseball fans.
